This professional stock pot is no light weight flimsy pot it is crafted of the finest 18-10 stainless steel. Handles are also 18-10 stainless steel with reinforced gussets and projection welds. No rivets to to come loose or rust out. The bottom is clad with 8 mm of Aluminum for excellent heat distribution. The bottom surface is a stainless steel induction protector plate. This mirror finish pot is perfect for soups, chilies, canning, salsa and more. Great for acidic foods, they won't eat into the sides and it washes easily. This pot compares favorably with more expensive brands. Suitable for all types of cooking including Gas, Electric, Induction and Ceramic. Unsure about the Libertyware brand? I received the 11 qt pot in great condition. It has substantial weight and a thick bottom. The walls are thick as well as the bottom of the pan. I have not cooked with it yet but, I feel it will do a good job. I will update this if I am not satisified with the pot.
